It is hard to describe what it was like walking up to Multnomah Falls for the first time. I had seen many photos, and knew it would impressive, but I was blown away by the sheer immensity and beauty of the falls. The roaring sound of water dropping hundreds of feet, mixed with the vibrant greens of the forest, and a thin layer of fog surrounding everything made the whole experience feel like an early morning dream. The upper portion of the falls are pictured here, and drop a total of 542 feet!! What a sight to behold!
