Since it's gotten colder this year, I've been trying to capture this shot at sunrise or sunset. A few nights ago, luck struck! I watched this lone bison slowly moving across a field, and waited patiently, hoping he would line up with the setting sun. After a few minor detours, he moved directly into the sunbeams, exhaled a huge lungful of air through his nose, and I snapped this photo. Bison breath silhouette mission accomplished!
